Do you have prized old 78's or LP's you never listen to? Do you have recordings of live shows, perhaps your own performances or your children's, on cassette tape?

A backup copy on CD or MP3 can give your old 78's, LP's and cassettes a new lease of life. As well as being far more versatile, you can protect rare recordings from the wear and tear of constant playback. Poor quality or damaged recordings can be restored to remove hiss, clicks and hum.

  • Listen to your favourite records on your car stereo or iPod.
  • Restore old recordings to remove clicks and hum.
  • Protect rare originals from wear and tear.
  • A unique gift for a friend or loved one

  • How it Works

We use professional equipment for high-quality transfer of vinyl and tapes to digital format whilst retaining their original analogue warmth.

We then use a combination of sophisticated computer software and detailed manual editing to remove as much noise from the recording as is practical, to restore the quality of your recordings without detracting from their original character.

  • FAQ's

    How long does it take?
It should take a maximum of 10 working days for you to receive your CD's and original material back. If, however, you have a particular deadline to meet, please contact us and we can often oblige.

What if my record is damaged?
We can often still transfer scratched or warped records. However, the results will vary depending on the level of damage. If we think that your record will not produce a satisfactory transfer, we'll contact you for confirmation before we continue. If your record is too badly damaged for transfer, no fee will be charged - only the return carriage for sending your item back to you.

Can't I do the same job at home?
While there's no substitute for the skills of a professional audio engineer, it is quite possible to convert your vinyl collection to CD using your home computer. See our Guide to Vinyl Conversion or contact us for information on equipment and software.

    What about Copyright?
Any recording made over 50 years ago is no longer subject to copyright restrictions. All other recordings are subject to "fair use" restrictions - it is okay to make a copy as a backup as long as you keep original and do not sell it or the backup copy. If the recording is one that you made yourself, for example of your own band, then you own the copyright and can make as many copies as you wish.
