The Musical Group ‘Heart Shaped Buttons’ was formed by Writer/Guitar Player Graham Wilkins and singer Jo Seear. Graham, bursting with words and music for many dozens of songs is influenced by 60’s pop, 40’s jazz, and most of the well known song writers past and present. Jo likes singers with distinctive voices from all musical genres and is amazed by Ella Fitzgerald.

Together they have 2 hours of original material and play live as an acoustic duo or as an electric group with a keyboard player, bassist and drummer.

As Jo continues with her short course at Brighton Uni Graham and Andy the bass player are recording and producing finished material for their first EP or Album.
The songs are mostly developments of the acoustic live material which can be down-loaded from the band’s site www.heartshapedbuttons.com

Review: Toontrack EZ Keys Grand Piano Songwriting Tool

ftr_ezkeysreview

With EZ keys it’s clear that Toontrack have aimed to simplify the songwriting process itself. Constructing chord progressions, verses, choruses, even creating entire songs can be achieved in a matter of seconds.

The Slim Phatty contains the same sound engine as it's older brother, the Little Phatty, but at a few hundred pound cheaper you lose the keyboard (and modulation and pitch wheel). Unless you're are going for pure manipulation of the audio in, which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, most likely you will want to play it with a keyboard. Using a MIDI keyboard with pitch bend and modulation wheel features already makes up for most of what's lost from the Little Phatty, but for 2/3 of the price.
